That depends on your perspective. "Chrysos Heirs" is more of a... designation for individuals like the Deliverer and myself, who have golden ichor in our veins. But it is not a common curse, and therefore those of us who exhibit certain desirable traits in the eyes of the Goldweaver join her and support the Flame-Chase journey.

Perhaps, though it could also be that his problem lies more in the idea that he should keep himself at a distance, yet fails to do so. He is aware of what the cost of the journey is to all of us: only one will remain to see it through to its end, and that is his role as the Deliverer. For a man who cares deeply and easily, he likely worries too much over it. We all have accepted our future deaths in exchange for the promise of the better world he is to usher in, now it's up to him to see it to its end.
